The Friends of Urchfont Garden are currently planning for the 2009 ‘Celebrating Art in the Garden' exhibition. This will take place at Urchfont between 5 and 20 September 2009.
Over 25 contemporary artists will show work in the gardens and our exhibition shop. All work is for sale and commissions paid by the artists will go into the Friends account. Already, thanks to our 2007 Exhibition, the Friends have restored the greenhouse in the walled kitchen garden. Our future plans include further restoration work to the garden itself as well as possibly buying more art for permanent display.
During the Exhibition some of the participating artists are running courses at the Manor. Please see the Urchfont 2009 Course Brochure for details. We hope that other artists will be able to give demonstrations of their work.
