Valerie Banister first became interested in Viking studies with a set book (Njal’s Saga) when studying for her law degree (as a mature student at university of Kent and Canterbury).  Now retired, she teaches WEA and other class series and day schools, and provides one-off talks/slide shows for a wide range of local organizations.  All her earnings are donated to Oxfam.
