Mike teaches Creative Writing (both A215 and A363) for The Open University. He has also taught this subject for the extra-mural departments of Essex, Bath and Nottingham Universities, and for the Workers’ Educational Association.

Mike has been a Poet-in-Schools for many years and has appeared in approximately 150 professionally published books (poetry, Key Stage textbooks, Critical Theory and English Language). His poems have additionally been published in The Times, and broadcast on CBBC, BBC7 and Radio 5.
