A walk of approximately 10 miles from the idyllic village of Chilton Foliat to the site of the Roman settlement of Cunetio (Mildenhall) which stands at the junction of the important routes from London to Bath and Winchester to Cirencester. Following the banks of the River Kennet there is much to interest all. Littlecote House where Henry VIII wooed Jane Seymour, the site of a Roman Villa with its Orpheus Mosaic discovered in 1727, the Bishopric of Ramsbury together with its Manor House and Park and the villages of Axford and Mildenhall (Minall).
